William Malast

Coach Malast is entering his fifth season as offensive line coach at Toms River High School South (alma mater). He retired from his position as Lieutenant Colonel for the New Jersey State Police in 2006 and currently serves as a Detective in the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

Manchester High School: Offensive Line Coach (14 Years)

Neptune High School: Offensive Line Coach (5 Years)

Manasquan High School: Offensive Line Coach (1 Year)


Played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1974. Played College Football at the Vanderbilt University 1970 – 1974.


His three sons followed in his footsteps:

  • Bill played at New Hampshire

  • Brian played at Virginia Military Institute

  • Kevin played at Rutgers and in the NFL for the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans.

Keith Anderson

Coach Anderson is entering his second season as offensive coordinator and ninth as running backs coach at Jackson Memorial High School. He is entering his seventh season as offensive coordinator for the semi pro NJ Pitbulls. He serves as a Police Officer in Seaside Heights during the summer months.

Played College Football at American International College (Running Back). He finished his career at Worcester State University (Offensive Line). A former All-Shore Football Player at Toms River High School South (1996).

Jonathan Pruden

Coach Pruden is entering his first season as defensive coordinator/ defensive backs coach for the NJ Warriors Junior College Football Team. He served as a defensive assistant at his alma mater's Burlington City High School (2018) and the University of Charleston (2017).

Mike McCarthy

Coach McCarthy is entering his second season as varsity defensive line coach. He served as the defensive line coach at Manchester High School prior to the start of his career as a NJ State Trooper in 1998. His son Collin currently attends Jackson Memorial High School.

Jackson AYF : Served as Position Coach, Defensive Coordinator, and Head Coach from the Jr. Pee Wee to 8th Grade Unlimited Levels (2008 – Current)

Manchester High School: Defensive Line Coach (1995 – 1998) *Hired as State Trooper 1998


Played College Football at the University of Connecticut 1989 - 1994 (Defensive Line).



Steven Santos

Coach Santos is entering his second year as freshmen head coach at Jackson Liberty. He attended the Shore's Best Football Camp while a player at Jackson Liberty. Currently pursuing a Masters degree in School Counseling.

Joe DeMaio

Coach DeMaio is a former starting quarterback at Jackson Memorial High School (2012 - 2014). He helped lead the team to a state championship in 2014. Played baseball at Iona College where he graduated in 2019.

Chris Melvin Jr.

Played Football at William Patterson University (Wide Receiver). He attended the Shore's Best Football Camp while a player at Manchester and Toms River High School North. He has been part of camp as a player or staff member since it's start.
